NIH Award: 1G08LM013797-01

The purpose of this project is to develop and deploy an accessible informed consent app-based toolkit to support deaf patients and principal investigators of clinical trials. The project gathers data about deaf people’s experiences and perceptions on clinical trials and principal investigators’ experiences working with deaf patients. The final production will be a CONSENT-ASL toolkit that includes deaf patient storytelling about research participation and informed consent materials that are fully accessible in American Sign Language (ASL).
